Edit PDF metadata
Drop a PDF, change any field — Title, Author, Subject, Keywords — and download the updated copy. Both the Info dictionary and XMP are written, in your browser.
When you'd want to edit PDF metadata
Correct a misspelled author, set a proper Title so the document shows up correctly in libraries and search, add Keywords for findability, or fix the Producer left behind by a conversion tool. Good metadata makes PDFs easier to organize, cite, and index — and unlike most online tools, MetaScrub does it without ever uploading your file.
Where are the changes saved?
Into a new copy of the PDF that downloads to your device. The original is never modified and never leaves your browser.
Does it edit XMP too?
Yes. MetaScrub writes both the classic Info dictionary and the embedded XMP packet, keeping them in sync so every PDF reader shows the same values.
Can I edit several PDFs at once?
Yes — drop multiple files and the fields you fill in are applied to all of them, then downloaded together as a zip. Blank fields are left untouched.
